Location & Directions
The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs is located in 102 Flowers Building on the Chapel Quad of Duke's West Campus. The Division has departmental offices spread across Duke's West, East, and Central Campuses. If you are looking for the location of a specific office, you should check that department's web site.

Travel Information
There are a number of options you may use to get to Duke.
By Air. The Raleigh-Durham International Airport is located about 18 miles east of the Duke Campus. Car rental, taxi, and limousine services are available at the airport. If you take a taxi, limousine, or shuttle, please ask them to drop you off at the Duke Chapel or West Campus bus stop. If you don't, most services drop you at the Chapel. If you rent a car, please see driving instructions below to get to campus.
By Bus. The Durham Greyhound-Trailways Bus Station is located in downtown Durham approximately 3 miles from Duke at 820 Morgan Street. Taxis are available at the station. If you take a taxi, limousine, or shuttle, please ask them to drop you off at the Duke Chapel or West Campus bus stop.
By Train. Amtrak passenger service is available to and from downtown Durham just a few minutes from Campus. Taxi service is available. If you take a taxi, limousine, or shuttle, please ask them to drop you off at the Duke Chapel or West Campus bus stop.
By Car. We are providing a number of different set of driving instructions. If none of these meet your needs, please drop us a line for assistance.
I-85 South (from Virginia). After you pass the downtown Durham exits, stay to the left. Take exit 174B, 15/501 bypass South toward Duke University and Chapel Hill. Note that this is a left hand exit. After exiting, stay to the right, travel about two miles, and exit at the Duke University/NC 751 exit. Turn left onto 751 South/Cameron Boulevard at the bottom of the ramp. Continue through three (3) stoplights. At the fourth (4) stoplight, turn left onto Duke University Road. Take the second (2) left onto Chapel Drive (don't count the left that runs into the closed gate). At the traffic circle, take the third (3) right. Follow this road up to the Chapel. The parking attendent can assist you in finding parking if you are unable to park on Chapel Quad.
I-85 North and I-40 East (from Greensboro, Charlotte, Atlanta). As you approach Durham, I-85 and I-40 split. Stay to the left to continue on I-85. Take exit 172, Route 147/Durham Freeway South. Continue on 147 and then take the Swift Street exit. Turn right at the top of the ramp. Go down the hill, through the flashing light, and turn right onto Duke University Road. Go through one (1) stop light and then take a right onto Chapel Drive. At the traffic circle, take the third (3) right. Follow this road up to the Chapel. The parking attendent can assist you in finding parking if you are unable to park on Chapel Quad.
I-40 West (from Raleigh, I-95, Wilmington, RDU International Airport). Take exit 279B, Route, 147/Durham Freeway North. Continue into Durham and exit at Swift Avenue. Turn left at the top of the ramp. Go down the hill, through the flashing light, and turn right onto Duke University Road. Go through one (1) stop light and then take a right onto Chapel Drive. At the traffic circle, take the third (3) right. Follow this road up to the Chapel. The parking attendent can assist you in finding parking if you are unable to park on Chapel Quad.
