Duke Student Ventures

The Duke Student Ventures (DSV) certification program helps entrepreneurial students at Duke develop their business activities on campus.    The DSV program is an educationally based program that aims to help students learn about the entrepreneurial process and provide guidance and limited resources for student venture activity on campus. Students or groups interested in creating a product or service for profit should seek DSV certification prior to operation on campus.

DSV certification also enables ventures potential entry into the DUhatch incubator program which provides educational resources as well as office space in the Teer building.

Steps to DSV certification:

1. Meet with the DSV Consultant
2. Submit a certification application below (including a business plan)
3. Clear any campus conflicts (as noted by OSAF on your application)
4. Present to the DSV Executive Committee upon invitation
